Andreas Christensen will spend the 2015/16 season in the Bundesliga having
today finalised a loan to Borussia Monchengladbach.

It follows a year of progress for the 19-year-old defender after being
elevated into Jose Mourinho's first team squad last season. He made his
debut in the Capital One Cup and followed it up with action in the FA Cup
and Barclays Premier League.

Last month Christensen made his senior international debut with two
substitute appearances for Denmark and played at the European Under-21
Championships, when his nation made the semi-finals. Since joining Chelsea
in 2012 he has won the Under-21s Premier League, UEFA Youth League and FA
Youth Cup.

Borussia Monchengladbach will play in the Champions League in the
forthcoming season having finished third in the German top flight in
2014/15.

Gladbach have signed Denmark international Andreas Christensen. The
19-year-old defender joins from Chelsea on a two-year loan deal until June
2017. He will wear the no.3 shirt.

two years after agreeing new deal at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea youngster Andreas Christensen has joined Borussia Monchengladbach
on a two-year loan after agreeing to sign a new five-year contract at
Stamford Bridge.

He will spend the next two seasons in Germany's top flight with Borussia,
who have qualified for the Champions League after finishing third in the
Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg. Chelsea hold an option to
end the loan after a year should they see fit.

不過第一年後有終止外租的權力。


Christensen is also poised to sign a new contract with the Premier League
champions as his current deal at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of
next season.

原先的約下賽季末到期。


His father, Sten Christensen confirmed the new deal speaking to Ekstra
Bladet in Denmark. 'Andreas enjoyed three fantastic years at Chelsea until
now,' he said.

'He has a clear feeling that Mourinho and Chelsea think a lot of him, and
that they see him as a future player in the Chelsea first team. The
five-year contract is also a clear indication.'
