Carter pledges to step up game

"There's 31 games left, this is what we need," Carter said yesterday of
stepping up his game. "This is it, right here. Bring him back."

"I just feel we have 30, 31 games left, and I need to be on top of my game
from Day 1, which is (tonight)," said Carter, who is averaging 23.7 points
for the season. "Not to put pressure on myself. I know what I can do. I know
I need to do it. And it needs to be done. Hopefully I can get the job done
for my team."
