Academy forward Ike Ugbo has today joined Championship club Barnsley on
loan for the 2017/18 season.


Ugbo, 18, was our top scorer in the development squad last season, and his
10 goals in the FA Youth Cup helped us win the trophy for the fourth
consecutive year. He was part of the success in the previous campaign and
helped our Under-19s win back-to-back UEFA Youth League titles in 2015 and
2016.


An England youth international, Ugbo was part of the squad that retained
the Toulon Tournament trophy this summer and will join the Championship
side for his first experience of senior football.
