想了半天還是乾脆回文好啦。
幾個重點:

1. 馬拉松跑者是天生瘦所以跑得快?
要瞭解這點,首先要明白馬拉松跑者對於肌肉力量的運用。大家都知道馬拉松運動
屬於中強度長時間的運動,所以肌耐力的重要性遠遠大於爆發力。另外,即使馬拉松
會使用到核心肌群,但跟腿的比例相較起來還是少之又少,更別提肩膀、胸肌、二三
頭這種練起來非常明顯,但在長跑幾乎用不到的肌肉了。
久而久之,用不到的肌肉也就是多餘贅肉。在追尋長跑經濟性為目的下,自然而然就
會被遺棄。所以你會看到精英級別的馬拉松跑者多半都很瘦,而那是刻意保持的。
2. 健身跟長跑能否並存?
可以,但也不可以,實際上還是得看情狀而定。就像我剛剛說的,在追尋長跑經濟性
下,任何一點體重都要斤斤計較。以 170-175 公分的男性跑者為例,菁英選手的體重
多半落在 55~60 公斤之間,而這在衛生署的定義下,幾乎是正常偏輕甚至過輕了。
假設菁英選手的體重是以極致的長跑能力而打造的,那我們幾乎可以說在那樣的體重
之上,任何一點重量都只存在負面影響(或者至少是非正面影響)。白話文就是:如果
肌肉用不到,那你留這麼多幹嘛?
話說回來,也有健身跟長跑都能做得好的。版友推文的 Bartosz Olszewski (Wings
for run 冠軍), Andy Vernon 都算。
不過這些人說實話只能算是「比較壯的跑者」,我相信不用說到真正的 body builder,
就算你去肌肉海灘版找 PTT 鄉民,都能找到無數比他倆練得更好的。所以他們真的算
是"並存"嗎?
3. 精瘦跑者 vs. 壯碩健身,誰健康?

選擇跑步跟健身本來就是不同的兩條路,對我來說兩者都很好,沒有優劣。再者,如何
定義健康?是以自然死亡的年齡嗎?還是得到慢性疾病的歲數?
「馬拉松跑者比較健康」其實是常見的誤解。馬拉松跑者大量的跑步,其實對心肺、肌肉
關節的刺激都比常人大得多,如果訓練不當,風險也不小!我自己雖然是馬拉松跑者,但
從來不會輕易建議常人踏入馬拉松訓練的行列。
你頂多只能說「有規律運動習慣者比沒有運動習慣者健康」。培養運動習慣,比推坑參加
路跑比賽或健身比賽重要多啦。
