TORONTO — Some Red Sox had some primo tickets to the A's-Blue Jays game on
Monday, and pictures of Jonny Gomes, Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Dustin Pedroia
at Rogers Centre made the rounds on the web.

On Tuesday, Red Sox manager John Farrell explained the trip on Sirius XM's
MLB Network Radio.

"All three of those guys are here at the ballpark here already," Farrell said
early Tuesday afternoon. "And we've already had a conversation about this.
Cause he goes, Pedroia goes, 'Hey, when was the last time you sat in the
stands and watched a game?' I said, 'Well, honestly it wasn't that long ago,
just because of the different positions I've had.' So they were like, 'It was
great, we sat back there' — they're yelling at the players as a fan. They
took in the whole experience. They had great seats. I think (Jose) Bautista
was even asking 'em, 'What the heck are you guys doing here?'"

Farrell：「那三個都已經到球場了，小派：『你上次在座位區看球是什麼時候？』，我
回答『其實也沒很久啦，因為職位的不同。』他們就決定：『好吧，我們去後面坐。』」

「他們像球迷一樣大叫，他們很享受這個經驗、也有很棒的位置。Jose Bautista好像還
問他們『你們在這裡幹嘛？』」

The trip wasn't just a last-minute idea.

"They talked about it for like a day and a half before, while we were in
Kansas City," Farrell said. "That they had this set up. They were looking
forward to going and just taking in a game. Given what we've experienced in
our clubhouse, the fact that guys went to a game yesterday doesn't surprise
me at all. That's just the way they approach every day and they're fun to be
around. You can only imagine some of the ragging or the conversations that
might come out of it."

Farrell：「他們在一天半之前(堪薩斯)就在說了，他們計畫好要去看球。根據我們在球
場的經驗，他們會做這種決定不令我意外。這是他們過每一天的方法，跟他們相處很有趣
。你只能想像會有一些關於這件事的話題跑出來。」

Farrell, still disliked in Toronto because of the perception he abandoned the
Blue Jays, had a sense of humor about the situation.

"Given my history, I don't think I got the tickets," he joked.

依然被多倫多人憎恨的Farrell：「根據我的黑紀錄，我不覺得我會有票。」
