我們控制了與紐卡斯爾的比賽，攻克了聖詹姆士公園球場，最終2-0獲勝。鑑於

們花了很長時間才打入第二個進球，確保了一場勝利，而蘭帕德更關心的是提醒球隊
不要自滿。


“當我們早早殺死比賽的時候，對替補席上的我和教練組來說，一切總是比較順
利的，但什麼都有可能發生。”蘭帕德說，“我們踢得很好，面對一支非常有組織的
球隊，這對我們來說不是一場容易的比賽。”


“早早取得進球很好，這改變了比賽的面貌，但第二個進球很重要，顯然我們本
有機會早點取得進球。在那之後，我們也許還能再次進球，但比賽不能完全按照我們

“作為一個團隊，如果我們想要達到目標，那麼在前進的時候就必須努力，不能
自滿，這對我們來說很重要。滲透進攻對我來說很重要，我們控制了球權，但大家仍
然很樂於跑位。”


“有時候球員很容易就會覺得‘我很難拿到球’或‘我要採取安全傳球’，但我
們必須不斷地送出更危險的傳球，通過跑動和射門突破防線，我認為在某種程度上我
們做到了。這不是一場簡單的比賽，我能理解球員們有時會選擇保險的方式，但我們
還可以做得更好。”


比賽初期我們的快速開局也讓蘭帕德感到很高興，特別是在大部分球員剛剛在週
中打完國際比賽才回來的情況下。


“我認為前20分鐘我們表現很出色，球隊有控球和突破。對方跟在我們後面跑，
我們的視野越來越清晰，進行交叉跑位。有時這樣控球的危險在於會進入舒適區，這
是很危險的，但我們幾次扭轉了局面。”


“這就是半場結束時比賽所傳遞出的訊息，下半場球隊表現得更加積極，我一直
覺得我們真正的威脅是在攻防轉換和反擊的時候，上半場維爾納有兩三次表現出了這
種能力，顯然在他與亞伯拉罕配合的進球中就展現了出來。”

The boss was quick to downplay the excitement of sitting briefly atop the
Premier League table over the weekend and claimed much more work was
needed from his young side...

After seeing his side sit top of the table for a brief period on Saturday
afternoon, questions were inevitably asked about the potential of this
Chelsea team to launch a sustained challenge at the summit.


However, in the aftermath of our win at Newcastle, Frank Lampard was quick
to downplay the excitement and insisted there was still plenty of room for
improvement.


'After eight or nine games, it would be very easy to get excited about
being in a lofty position but I'm not going to smile too much at the
league table,' claimed the boss.

'It's nice to have three points when you're the first game of the weekend
but I knew the league table would change by the end of it. We can only
worry about ourselves and our recent form has meant we're in a decent
position but doing that consistently over a big period is the next step
for us now.'


The Blues are two points off the top as we approach the quarter mark of
the campaign and it is making up ground on the teams above us that Lampard
has targeted, first and foremost, as his side's primary objective this
term.


Since winning the title in 2016/17, we have finished 30, 26 and 33 points
behind the eventual champions.


'The first port of call this year was to close the gap on Manchester City
and Liverpool, who have set different levels of consistency and amassing
points through a season,' he explained.

'We are improving but we cannot get carried away with ourselves at this
early stage. We have to try to reach those levels of consistency but I'm
happy with where we're at right now.'
