Chelsea scout queries end of loan spell for Gael Kakuta at Vitesse Arnhem

The scout involved in bringing Gael Kakuta to Chelsea has queried the
player's return to Stamford Bridge from a loan spell at Vitesse Arnhem.

The 22-year-old joined the Blues in 2007 from Lens but failed to make an
impact in west London, and has had loan stints with Fulham, Bolton and
Dijon before his most recent move to the Dutch outfit.

Kakuta made 12 substitute appearances for Vitesse this season before being
recalled by Chelsea in early January, and scout Guy Hillion is puzzled

"Frankly, I don't know why he put an end to his stay with the Dutch club,"
Hillion told L'Equipe. "It is a huge waste. I already said it and I repeat

Chelsea goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon told L'Equipe that Kakuta,
under contract in West London until 2015, may need to move to see his
career take off.


"He needs someone to guide him, show him the way," Lollichon said. "But
he's also a little stubborn. He has an idea of what football is, but he
needs to understand it's up to him to adapt to the others, to the team.

"I get the impression, and it's only my opinion, that he really wants to
return to France. He needs a club that puts their faith in him, regardless

.... Chelsea are expected to choose Kakuta's next loan move carefully,
particularly given how his time with Fulham, Bolton Wanderers, Dijon and
Vitesse have been less than productive.
