1.吉總(Gibbons)賽後被台灣記者問到老王是否已確保了自己在先發輪值中的地位:

“Morrow and Happ are a ways away so it’s way too early to even look at
that. Let’s enjoy what he’s doing. He’s got no reason to look over his
shoulder.”


吉總對此打太極，說Morrow 和 Happ 目前離復出階段還有一大段距離，所以現在談這個
還太早，讓咱們來享受王現在所做的一切，他的肩膀看起來一切無恙了。

“That’s three really good ones,” Gibbons said of the right-hander’s trio
of starts. “He’s a part of it now. He’s given us a big boost,
that’s for sure.”

對王這三次先發表現感到蘇服。

2.為什麼在老王投到83球時將他換下？

“How much did (Wang) have left? He was still pretty strong but we’re
looking for outs there. It was a no-brainer to me, and that’s no insult to
Chien-Ming Wang.”

吉總表示當時只領先一分(2:1)，而且只差八個出局數就可以拿下比賽勝利，面對生猛火力
的金鶯隊，遇上的還是目前繳出MVP數據，美聯呂布的Davis，一棒就會讓戰況風雲變色，
所以決定換上左投讓他不要太蘇服。
王當時是否能投下去？當然，他仍然很強壯，只是我們想要穩穩地拿下出局數，對我來說
是個容易的決定，當然這對王並沒有冒犯的意思。

3.王的賽後訪問

Not talking much in the clubhouse afterwards was Wang, who’s quiet-spoken in
both Mandarin and English.

“I had the sinker down, a lot of control.”

我只是把伸卡壓低，然後把球控好。

He assessed what has been going right lately. “I don’t think too much.
Before, every time I wanted to be perfect.

過去，我每場投球都想要完美表現，這次，我倒沒想太多。

A Wang-dang-doodle standing ovation escorted him off the mound.

“Pretty happy, it’s been a long time.”
