amazing player and person, and I hope that came through in the article.
I also wanted to alert you and Li Na to a correction that is appearing
both in the NYT print edition and on the Web. In her book, Li Na wrote
that the primary reason for her "first retirement" was that, due to her
health problems, she was under pressure to take "hormone medicine" to
which she was allergic. Unfortunately, the trusted translator that we
used in Beijing translated that line incorrectly as "steroid pills."
My editors have already issue a correction, but I first wanted to reach
out to you and Li Na and express my apologies。

感謝你協助安排了這一次我對李娜的采訪﹐她是一個很棒的球員﹐人也非常好﹐

我希望這一切有在文章中反映出來。我同時還要提醒你與李娜知曉﹐在NYT的印刷版及

網站上都刊印了一則更正。在她的自傳中﹐李娜寫道自己第一次退役的最初原因是

健康問題﹐處在壓力之下的她需要服用抑制的hormone medicine﹐但她對這些藥物是

過敏的。不幸的是﹐我們在北京聘用的值得信賴的翻譯卻將這一段錯誤的翻譯成了
