Former Chelsea academy product Isak Ssewankambo has found a new home. The
18-year old will be joining Eredividsie side NAC Breda on a free
transfer, and will be signing a one-year deal with an option for a second.


Ssewankambo has never been one of Chelsea's more highly touted prospects,
but was a useful part of several decent youth squads. He joined the club
in 2010, and saw action in both the center of the defense and a deep
midfield role for the junior Blues.


He's also been part of the Sweden youth setup for the past several years,
and was on of their better players in a semifinal push during the UEFA U17
championships. Since that performance, he's gone on to be capped with both
the U19 and U21 sides.


With Chelsea's young depth in both defense and midfield, it's hard to
picture Ssewankambo getting a cameo appearance with the club. It's good to
see they decided not to stand in his way when an opportunity to start his
professional career presented itself, and hopefully Isak makes the most of
