TRISTAN ENDANGERS MAKAAY TRANSFER TO BAYERN

It’s well known that Deportivo will sell either Diego Tristan or Roy Makaay
this summer, as Lendoiro confirmed this policy some days ago. For the moment
most of the interest has been focused on the Dutch striker, which bids from
Valencia, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. But the effort of both Spanish clubs has
faded away while the bid of Bayern (15 million Euro) doesn’t reach the amount
asked by Deportivo (20-24 million Euro).

So at the moment it’s not likely that Makaay will switch teams. But if Makaay
won’t go, Tristan will. That’s why Betis Sevilla have raised their interest
to sign the Andalucian striker, and to bring him back to the club where he
started his career.

President Lendoiro is prepared to sell Tristan if the sale of Makaay doesn’t
succeed. And Betis, the club of controversial president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera,
are prepared to offer 10 million Euro for the striker plus Spanish
international defender Juanito. One can conclude that this offer for Tristan is
very reasonable, especially because the striker didn’t have a good season.
Compared to this, the highest bid for European topscorer Makaay (15 million
Euro) is inferior to the one made for Tristan.

So Bayern Munich should hurry, or else Deportivo will obligate Makaay to stay
in La Coruna for two more years and will sell Tristan to Betis. In this way
Juanito will make a transfer to La Coruna, and the search for a new central
defender will have ended.

relationship with Tristan. And as he likes the kills of Betis defender Juanito,
he would welcome a deal between Deportivo and Betis.
