Q: How do you feel after being back in the elite football?

A: Very well, although I think my form hasn't been like expected. But to have
been out of football has helped me in other ways and I have learned to enjoy
football in another way.

Q: Why were you so fed up with football before your disease?

A: Above all because everything that goes around in football, because in the
end football is not only about playing on a pitch. For me it would be the
perfect job if one only had to train and play.

Q: Have you changed your opinion about your last season?

A: No, it hasn't changed. It was a bad season for me personally. Of course
some circumstances didn't help me to perform as I wished for. But I don't like
to name excuses. Nothing, not even my disease, justifies my bad season.

Q: Aren't you too harsh to yourself?

A: I don't know, but I don't care. I am always the most critical persons towards
myself and I don't have problems with admitting mistakes. Besides, I don't like
players who think they always do the rights things, that they're the prettiest
persons etc. We all make mistakes and we can make the wrong decisions.

Q: So the past season hasn't made a lasting impression on you?

A: No, especially because I haven't played much. One match in the Champions
League and none in the Copa. And in the Liga the results weren't good in the
matches when I defended the goal.

Q: How about the overall performance of Deportivo?

A: It has been a great season. We finished third in the Liga, among the last
four in the Copa and we only were eliminated from the Champions League against
Juventus in the final minute.

Q: Some supporters don't agree with you...

A: We should be satisfied that people ask a lot from us, because it means that
we have created big expectations in the years before. But let's not forget who
we are: a good team, but a simple club.

Q: Don't you think that this team could have done some more?

A: These days people don't give the team the credit it deserves. But with the
passage of time they will remember this team for achieving great things.

Q: But Deportivo aren't Real Madrid...

A: Exactly, we're not as big as some think we are. At Madrid they spent
millions of Euro on one single player. We're Deportivo, some good guys who play
together and perform well. We have a small stadium and 30.000 supporters, and
to sell a jersey we'll have to do miracles.

Q: What do you expect of next season?

A: I want to start as soon as possible. The only thing I want to do is to work;
the rest I will achieve on the pitch.
