THE MODERATOR: We would like to welcome the 2011 Wegmans LPGA championship
winner, Yani Tseng, into the interview room. Congratulations on winning your
fourth career Major. You are now the youngest in LPGA history to win four
majors. What are your thoughts about winning this Major and winning it
19-under par to tie a record?

主持人：雅妮，恭喜妳贏得第四個大賽冠軍，也成為ＬＰＧＡ史上最年輕贏得四個大賽冠
軍的選手，妳對以－１９桿的成績贏得這場比賽有什麼樣的看法？





YANI TSENG: You know, I ask my coach this morning, what can I do today? I
have a five shot lead. You never know on this golf course. He told me just
go out and have fun. You always show your big smile this week and just do
the same thing as yesterday. And I was really, really nervous on the first
hole. I pulled my drive and made bogey. I made like 3-foot putt for bogey.
My hand was shaking. I just tried to save par from the first hole.

雅妮：你知道，今天早上我問了我的教練，我該怎麼辦呢？我有五桿領先，但你永遠不知
道在這個球場上會發生什麼事。他告訴我去享受比賽的樂趣吧！用妳這個禮拜面對大家的
微笑去做跟昨天同樣的事情。第一洞我真的真的很緊張，我打出了 Bogey，那是一次三英
呎的推桿。我的手在顫抖，當下我只是想挽救這第一洞的Par...

The second hole I feel better. I had three birdies in a row and after that I
calmed down and everything. I realize today, let's break a record. It was a
totally different mind for the first hole. I am having so much fun out
there. I smile all the way and see all of the fans and media was following.
It was just really big crowd there and give me lots of support.

第二洞開始我感覺我的心情有比較冷靜舒緩之後，我一連抓下三隻小鳥，當下我體會到我
今天在這裡的意義，「讓我們去去突破紀錄吧！」，我在之間獲得很多樂趣，我一路帶著
微笑並看我的粉絲及媒體們跟隨我在我身後，他們給予我很大的支持！

THE MODERATOR: You said you wanted to break a record, were you aware of
19-under as that being a mark that you wanted to hit here?

主持人：雅妮，你說你想打破紀錄，是你知道-19桿是一個紀錄，而所以想達成這個成績？












YANI TSENG: Me and Jason were talking about it 18 or 19, wasn't sure. But
after nine holes I just tell myself let's go 20-under because I had three
shots until 20-under, so I just tell myself, let's make more birdies and get
20. The last three holes Jason, my caddy, tell me if you make 20-under, I'll
buy your dinner. I said that's it, just for a dinner? I don't think that's
a good deal. Oh, yeah, the deal is good. Okay. So I make birdie on 17. I
miss a putt on 18. But still the last putt I tell him, this is for dinner,
right? But I missed it. But we have lots of fun today.

雅妮：我和Jason(桿弟)在談論到底是18還是19，而我們也不敢肯定。但在第九洞後，我
只是告訴自己，「達成-20桿吧！」，因為我還差三個under，就完成-20桿，所以我只是
告訴自己，讓我們打出更多birdie，去達成目標。

最後三洞，我的桿弟Jason告訴我，如果我達成-20，他就請我吃晚餐。我回答說，只是
為了吃飯？！我不認為這是一個很好的交換ＸＤ。哦，好吧！這是一筆很好的交易。所以
17洞我射下小鳥。但我錯過第18洞的推桿。在最後一推前我告訴他，請我吃晚飯，對吧？！
但最後我還是失手了。不過我們今天可是有說不完的樂趣！ＸＤ

THE MODERATOR: To reach this mark, to be the youngest golfer in modern area
to get to 4 Majors, younger than Annika was, younger than Tiger, younger than
Jack, what does that accomplishment mean to you?

主持人：達到這項成就，比Sorenstam年輕，比老虎年輕，甚至比Jack Nicklaus還年輕
，你覺得這項成就這對你而言意味著什麼？

YANI TSENG: It's very special. I really just focus on every tournament. I
don't think of breaking any record. Now I feel like I break another record.
Now I'm thinking for another Grand Slam.
I feel like so many things, records in my mind. But you know, we all prepare
with my coach, and I working hard. I just keep focusing on what can I do
now. The rest of it I just leave, so you never know.

雅妮：很特別。我真的在每一場大賽中去集中我的精神。我不去想打破任何記錄！現在我
覺得我打破另一個紀錄。之後現在我在想的是另一個大滿貫。

我覺得這麼多東西、記錄在我的腦海打轉。但是你要知道，我和我的教練一直在準備比賽
，我勤奮的練習。我只是保持專注於我現在能做些什麼。其餘的事我拋諸腦後，而你永遠
也不會知道。

Q. Once you recovered from the bogey and made the birdie at 2 and birdie
at 3 and 4, at that point were you pretty much thinking it was your
tournament then at that point? You weren't too concerned about anybody
behind you at that point, were you?

主持人：第一洞Bogey然後在2.3.4洞抓下Birdie，在那個時候，你就覺得你會贏下這場比
賽了嗎？妳不是太在意你身後有人在追趕，是嗎？

YANI TSENG: No. Actually, I don't look at the scoreboard much. But that
birdie, No. 2, it feel like turning point for me because I make bogey first
hole, and I'm still a little nervous on second hole and the pin was tough.
So I just try to get out there and try to make par and I make 2-footer.
It's huge for me to make birdie on second hole.

雅妮：不！事實上我不常看記分牌。但第二洞的小鳥感覺就像是我的轉折點，因為我的第
一洞吞下Bogey，在第二洞時，而我還是有點緊張而且情況是很棘手的。所以我只是嘗試走
出去，努力保Par，所以第二洞的小鳥對我而言是巨大的鼓舞。

Q. In terms of the margin of victory, was it at any point did you maybe
even lose interest because you were so far head, you just wanted to finish
and get it over with?

主持人：就這場勝利而言，因為你領先這麼多了，在任何點上有讓你對這場比賽失去興趣
，只是想完成比賽就算了嗎？

YANI TSENG: Yes, a couple of holes, I did. I just feel like I was --
because I look after nine holes, and I saw I was 8, 9 shot lead. I was like,
what's a new goal for me? That's why I tell myself, setting a record to make
20-under, so that's a new goal for me on the back 9. Otherwise I just don't
know what can I do for the back 9. Because I just want to play one shot at a
time. But I don't think I'm fighting hard. But after I tell myself, let's
bring it 20-under, and I am fighting back again to try to make birdie again.

雅妮：在好多洞都曾想過...打完前九洞之後，我看到我領先8.9桿。我當時想，對我而言
有什麼新的目標？這就是為什麼我告訴自己，去創下了歷史紀錄，去達成-20桿，在後九洞
之中這對我而言就是一個新的目標，否則，我只是不知道我該怎麼辦去打後九洞了。因為
我只是想一次完成一桿，但我不認為我在苦戰之中。但我告訴自己，讓我們去達成-20桿，
所以我重新回到戰場，再一次打出Birdie！

Q. Congratulations. Annika, they had her on the Golf Channel and referred
to you as the new face of the LPGA. You've got her house now you might need
a bigger trophy case?

主持人：恭喜你。Sorenstam在高爾夫頻道中，提到你作為LPGA的新面貌。你已經得到了她
的房子了...現在你可能需要一個更大的獎杯櫃呢？

YANI TSENG: Yes, I think so. It's very lucky to buy her house now. She
text me this morning, great playing, bring the trophy home. I was smiling,
saying, yeah, I will. I just tell myself. Thanks for that text message.
Just give me lots of lucky things. So I just really appreciate that.

雅妮：是阿，我也這麼想。能買到她的房子實在是非常幸運。今天上午她傳了簡訊給我，
「打一場好比賽，把獎杯帶回家！」。我微笑的對她說我會的。我只是告訴自己，感謝您
的簡訊，給我如此多幸運的事情。所以，我真的對此表示感激。

Q. Yani, what did you hit into No. 2?

主持人：你是如何完成第二洞的？

YANI TSENG: 9-iron was 120-yard shot. I've been hitting it all week and it
works pretty well.

雅妮：九號鐵桿、１２０碼揮擊。這動作我已經做了一整個禮拜，而且我表現得很棒！

Q. How important was it to just put Kraft behind you so quickly?

主持人：這對我們很重要，你是如何在這麼短的時間之內，把Nabisco的失利拋在腦後？

YANI TSENG: You know, I mean I've been doing that this whole week. If I had
a bad shot I forget about it. I'm always looking for the next shot. Always
looking to make another birdie. If I make bogey, just try to fight back
another birdie. If not, I just keep going next hole. That's all I can do.

雅妮︰你知道的，我一整個星期都在做這件事情。如果我打壞一桿我就會忘掉它。我一直
在期盼下一桿。一直在期盼再打出一隻小鳥。如果我打出Bogey，就試圖再打出另一隻小鳥
。如果沒有，我只是繼續前進下一洞。這就是我能做到的。

Q. Yani, congratulations, you mentioned that you almost cry on the way to
the ceremony. Can you tell us what went through your mind?

主持人：雅妮，恭喜你，你提到你幾乎是一路哭著走向頒獎台。你能告訴我們當時是什麼
事情閃過你的腦海？

YANI TSENG: I just feel like I'm all the way from Taiwan, another country,
the people here, I love Rochester, I love coming back here, and the people
here are really supporting, give me a big crowd, all 18 holes, and I really
appreciate that and make me lots of support. I don't feel like -- I just
don't feel nobody is supporting me here, from Taiwan. It's huge. I really
appreciate it.

雅妮：我只是覺得我一路從台灣到這裡，美國，這裡的人們，我愛Rochester，我愛回
到這裡，這裡的人們給我很大的支持，我真的很感謝！我不覺得有人因為我來自台灣而
不支持我。這是很巨大的的鼓舞。我真的很感激。

Q. On the first tee did you try not to look at the trophy? It looked like
you didn't look at it at all?

主持人：在你的第一個開球，你是否試著盡量不看獎杯？因為看起來就像你不看它呢？

YANI TSENG: I was like where is the trophy at?

雅妮：我只是在想獎盃放在哪？ＸＤ

Q. You didn't see it?

主持人：你沒看獎盃？

YANI TSENG: I didn't see it. But I know if I see I will never touch it.
But I even didn't see it. So that's good.

雅妮：我沒去看它...但我知道就算我看到了我也不會去碰 (￣▽￣＃)，但是我什麼也沒
看到，這感覺真不賴 v(￣︶￣)y

Q. Did you hear a photographer on your back swing?

主持人：你在揮桿時有聽到攝影機嗎？

YANI TSENG: Yes, I hear when I was going to swing down, I heard (making
noise of click, click, click). It's not an excuse. I still feel I didn't
focus on my impact.

雅妮：有，我聽到喀啦.喀啦.喀啦。但這不是一個藉口。我也不覺得這對我有影響！

Q. Yani, congratulations. How long do you enjoy this and then start
thinking about the U.S. Open and the possible career gland slam?

記者：恭喜妳！雅妮。你會享受這場勝利多久，然後才開始思考美國公開賽和之後可能
完成的生涯四大滿貫？

YANI TSENG: I just kind of enjoy this a couple of days and go out with my
team tonight. I am going to Niagara Falls tomorrow, look at that time
beautiful place and back to Orlando and then a swimming pool. So just
relaxing and enjoy. Next week, I know it's a big week, but I try to stay as
relaxed as I can and working with my coach, Gary, and doing the same thing
all the time.

雅妮：我會享受個幾天而且今晚會和我的團隊去慶祝。我準備明天去尼加拉大瀑布，看這
美麗的地方，然後回到奧蘭多，游泳放鬆和享受。再下一個禮拜週，我知道這是一個很重
要的的一個禮拜，但我盡量保持放鬆，和我的教練Gary做同樣的事情。

Q. How were you in the elation of running away with this?

記者：你是如何在興高采烈的情緒下完成比賽的呢？

YANI TSENG: Yes, I feel very excited. I've been very patient all day. I
had bogey on the first hole, but I tell myself it's only first hole I can get
more birdies, get it back. I feel very appreciative of all of the fans here.
I walk on 18 hole, I almost cry because so emotional and all of the fans
were crying so bad. I'm from Taiwan. It's a little country and the people
here are very, very supportive of me. I feel really good about that.

雅妮：我覺得很興奮。我覺得我一整天都很有耐心。我在第一洞吞下柏忌，但我告訴自己
這只是第一洞，我之後可以用更多Birdie拿回來。我非常感謝在場所有的球迷。我走在往
18洞的路上，我差點哭了，因為實在是太感動了以及所有的球迷的加油聲。我來自台灣。
一個小小的國家，但這裡的人們是非常非常支持我。我真的很感謝他們。

Q. The historical significance of this, four Majors at the age of 22, what
does it mean to you?

記者：以２２歲成為擁有四場大賽冠軍的最年輕締造者，這項成就對你意義是？

YANI TSENG: It's pretty good. I just try to focus on every tournament. I
don't think about too much. I still go and try to win the next Major.

雅妮：真棒。我只是把注意力放在每一場比賽。我不想想太多。但我還是要爭取下一個大
賽冠軍

Q. Talk about playing with a big lead and then being able to expand it and
never really letting anybody get close to you today?

記者：談談大比分領先，然後能夠擴大差距，沒有真正讓任何人接近你這件事吧？


YANI TSENG: I keep telling myself I'm going to break a record. I'm probably
going to break Cristie Kerr's record and try not to think about. I'm so far
ahead. Let's have a goal to look at it.

雅妮：我一直告訴自己我要打破紀錄。我可能要打破 Cristie Kerr 的記錄，但我盡量不
別讓自己去想這件事情。我領先在前頭。就讓我把它當作一個目標來追求吧。

Q. Is there anything one thing you can point to or a combination of things
as to why you played so well this week?

記者：有任何一件事或任何事可以說明你在這一個禮拜中表現如此出色嗎？

YANI TSENG: I think I just focus on this golf course, give me lots of
confidence too to hit good drive here, and then I think I probably hit 60
percent or 70 percent on drives, lots of birdie chances for me.

雅妮：我想我只是集中精神在這個球場上，給自己很多的信心去打好第一桿，然後我想我
想有六到七成的好的第一桿，給自己有更多機會去拿下Birdie。

Q. 8 career wins, 4 of them Majors, did you ever envision a start like
that to your career?

記者：生涯八勝，其中4大賽冠軍，你有沒有設想過以這樣的成績做為妳職業生涯的開端
呢？


YANI TSENG: No, no, I never think about going to win Majors. This is fun.
It's always very fun to win a Major. Like I say, I still have lots of goals
to set it up and I am looking for another Major.

雅妮：不，不，我從來沒有想過會贏得大滿貫。這很有趣，而贏得一場大滿貫也是很有趣
的。不過就像我說，我還有很多目標去完成，而我也在尋求另一個大滿貫冠軍。
