Marouane Chamakh admits to being pleasantly surprised at how quickly he has
found his feet at Arsenal.

The Morocco international completed a protracted switch to Emirates Stadium
over the summer, having been a long-standing target for Arsene Wenger.

Patience certainly paid off for all concerned, with the Gunners getting their
man on a free transfer and Chamakh getting the opportunity to test himself in

The 26-year-old striker has had no problems acclimatising to his new

"I have settled in quickly and things couldn't have gone much better from
that point of view," he told Fifa's official website.
