Warriors' Klay Thompson doesn't think ankle injury is serious

INDIANAPOLIS - The Warriors got away with one Tuesday, and they know it.
The second unit allowed a 28-point lead to shrink to 16 in the opening six-plus
minutes of the fourth quarter, forcing interim head coach Luke Walton to
reinsert his starters into the game.

Less than five minutes after the first unit's return, All-Star shooting guard
Klay Thompson sprained his right ankle and limped straight to the bench and
then off to the locker room.

X-rays in the bowels of Bankers Life Fieldhouse were negative, and Thompson
said he believes he'll be able to play Friday in Boston, where the Warriors
play the sixth game of the two-week, seven-game road trip.

"I'll be all right," said Thompson, who scored 39 points on 10 three-pointers
during the Warriors' 27th straight win. "Luckily, it's not a bad sprain or

Still, the potential disaster wasn't lost on the Warriors. Backup point guard
Shaun Livingston personally apologized to Thompson for not putting away the
game and letting the starters sit out the fourth quarter.

"That's frustrating," Livingston said. "I always take that to heart, because
I'm one of the leaders of the second unit that is trying to put away leads.
Especially when you have to put starters back in and a guy goes down. To me,

"I take that personal. The starters did their jobs. They should have rested
that fourth quarter, and it's on us to hold down the fort."

Thompson said that Livingston "told me he's got to be better, and I told him not to
worry about it. They were great for us the other night, and it's a team game."

Already missing starting small forward Harrison Barnes, who will be out until
at least next Wednesday's home game against Phoenix, Walton wouldn't even
anticipate the lineup changes that will be necessary if Thompson misses time.

"It's bitter because Klay sprains his ankle in a game that we felt we had
control of, and if we get out to a better start in the fourth, we don't even
have to get him back on the court.

很可惜的是KT在不必要上班的第四節不得以回場扭傷腳踝


"But it's a freak accident. Sprained ankles happen every game. People are
always getting hurt. It's no one's fault, but it does hurt to lose Klay,
especially when he's been playing so well lately."

扭傷腳踝這就只是個常常發生在比賽中的意外, 不是誰的錯. 不過如果傷到了KT損
失很大, 尤其是他打得這麼好.
