歐冠的比賽將在明天晚上開始，蘭帕德相信切爾西將為迎戰塞維利亞的比賽做好
充分的準備。

上賽季16強淘汰賽中，切爾西被最終的冠軍拜仁慕尼黑擊敗，此前藍軍成功地從
一個困難的小組中晉級。蘭帕德相信隊中的年輕球員年們已經從上賽季的比賽中吸取
了教訓，他相信藍軍已經充分明白應該在這項頂級賽事中做些什麼。


“歐冠是一個很好的學習平台，我們正在與歐洲最好的球隊交手，我們上賽季對
拜仁慕尼黑時全力以赴，”賽前新聞發佈會上蘭帕德表示。

“通過歐冠我們可以展示自己的實力，去年我們展示了自己是一支年輕的球隊，
很多球員都是第一次參加歐冠，我們可以從這些比賽經驗中吸取教訓。對年輕球員來
說，拜仁是一個偉大的對手，可以幫助他們理解需要達到什麼樣的水平。”


塞維利亞將在明天晚上作客斯坦福橋，與我們進行E組第一場小組賽，小組中還
包括克拉斯諾達爾和雷恩，此前的英超聯賽中藍軍與南安普頓握手言和。


蘭帕德相信塞維利亞會給球隊帶來不同的挑戰，但他堅持認為有一個原則是不變
的，那就是我們要努力取得積極的結果，同時他也強調了在歐冠比賽中進行“比賽管
理”的必要性。

“吉爾莫的情況很好，”蘭帕德解釋道。“他可能還要三、四週才能回到球隊。
現在他正在外面接受理療師的訓練，我們希望不久的將來能讓他和我們或U21的球員
一起訓練。我們很可能會讓吉爾莫等到下一個國際比賽日，一切都很好。”

Lampard addresses defensive issues and sets out plan

At his press conference this afternoon Frank Lampard was asked about his
team's defending since he took over, and in response our boss brought to
light a less well-publicised stat, as well as reiterating what his team
must do to let in fewer goals.

The three Southampton scored on Saturday made it 63 conceded in 43 Premier
League games since the start of last season, at an average of a little
under 1.5 per match.


Lampard acknowledged that is not good enough for a team wishing to
challenge towards the top end of the table, but he also pointed out that
some of our defensive numbers are more impressive, and perhaps more
enlightening.


'I'm aware of that stat,' started Lampard, 'and the other stat I'm aware
of since I have been here is that we have conceded the second-fewest shots
in the Premier League, behind Manchester City. It helps to sometimes
narrow down some of the issues. The issues are we don't concede many shots
on our goal, but when we do we concede goals.


'It's something we're aware of when we look at recruitment, and more
importantly you're aware when you work every day on the pitch with the
players to make sure we are set up well.

'We want to concede less, as do all teams at the moment. There are teams
in the Premier League that are conceding a lot of goals at the moment, we
are all in a similar position to a degree. It will always be something we
work on, as much as we do our attacking play.


'There is nothing given to you in the Premier League or the Champions
League,' added Lampard. 'All we have to do is carry on working. We have
players fit which has been an issue for us. We have to get relationships
around the pitch and stay calm.'
