At this point, it feels like a squad overhaul in the offseason has become inevit
able. The issue with this, however, is that the Lakers don’t really have too ma
ny trade assets available. One blockbuster trade idea that has been floated rece
ntly is the prospect of parting ways with Anthony Davis. It may sound a bit absu
rd, but the harsh reality for LA is that right now, this is how desperate things
have become for them.

The bad news for the Lakers, however, is that apparently, even an Anthony Davis
trade might not be enough to solve their problems. This is because according to
NBA insider Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, AD’s current value in the trade market is
at an all-time low:

For the Lakers, this is so bad on so many levels. AD’s injury history is well-d
ocumented. Right now, he’s been out with a foot sprain and has no firm timetabl

is entire career and now that he’s about to turn 29, it just feels like the inj
uries are beginning to take a toll on him — and on his trade value.
