In the second game of the second set, Ramos issued a warning to Williams,
apparently because he spotted Patrick Mouratoglou, her coach, making a
two-handed gesture from the seats, which Ramos interpreted as coaching.
(Mouratoglou later conceded he had been coaching.)
Williams approached the chair to tell Ramos that it was a “thumbs-up”
gesture and that she would never accept coaching on court, which is against
the rules of Grand Slam events.
所以小威第一次被警告時有說教練只是比讚而已，所以她還是往包廂看了嗎?
She also noted that she had been at the wrong end of other controversial
moments at the U.S. Open before, including a match in 2004 against Jennifer
Capriati. But the most striking similarity occurred in 2009, when Williams
was issued a point penalty on match point against Kim Clijsters for
threatening a lineswoman. (In those matches, the chair umpires were women.)

Mouratoglou acknowledged giving her coaching instructions from the box, but
also said he did nothing more than what every other coach does. He added
that Ramos overreacted and should have quietly requested that Williams tell
Mouratoglou to stop.
“That’s what umpires do all year,” he said, “and it would have ended
there and we would have avoided a drama that was totally avoidable.”
小威教練覺得主審過度反應了，如果主審請小威叫包廂那邊收歛一點就什麼都不會
發生了 (主審可以請球員指示包廂做事嗎)。
When told in her news conference that Mouratoglou admitted to coaching from
the box, Williams disputed it, saying they had no preplanned signals.
“I’m trying to figure out why he would say that,” she said.
小威大概覺得為何教練要黑她了哈。
不過我個人是相信小威的清白，從她歷來幾乎不叫教練進場指導的表現。不過之後
的暴走行為真的是不及格，之後在頒獎典禮上的風範也顯示她有點後悔了吧，對手
視妳為偶像，結果人生第一個大滿貫的頒獎典禮被這樣搞砸。
