Chelsea fans are no strangers to multiple monikers given their recent
history of Brazilian talents, but it's not often that an established
Stamford Bridge star makes an official name change midway through their
career.

球迷們對巴西球員千變萬化的綽號應該不陌生，但效力多年的球員如今改了名字..？


Mikel was born John Michael Nchekwube Obinna (the son of Michael Obi) in
1987, but a mistake in 2003 changed things for the midfielder.

麥克˙歐比的兒子 － 1987年出生的中場球員約翰˙麥克˙Nchekwube˙歐比納，因
為2003年的一個失誤，讓名字錯到今天....


During the registration process for the 2003 Fifa Under-17 World
Championships, the Nigeria Football Association mistakenly submitted
'Michael' as 'Mikel' for the tournament in Finland.

原來是2003年U17世界盃報名時，奈國足協把麥克的名字弄成米克爾。


The competition ended in disappointment as Nigeria failed to qualify from
their group despite Mikel scoring during a win against Australia, but the
midfielder decided to keep his new name.

該年賽事不如人意，但他卻把新名字米克爾留下了。


The Chelsea midfielder says the mistake had a “special ring to it,” and
from joining Chelsea in 2006 he went by 'Mikel John Obi' instead of 'John
Obi Mikel.'

2006年加盟時他用的是 '米克爾˙約翰˙歐比' ，而不是 '約翰˙歐比˙米克爾' 。


And the midfielder has now decided to officially change his full name to
Mikel John Obi.

如今他的正式名字就是 '米克爾˙約翰˙歐比' 了。


But Chelsea fans need not worry about their new 2016/17 replica shirts
need not worry as 'Mikel/12' will stay on the jersey.

球迷免擔心，因為新球衣上還是會印12號米克爾。

尼日利亞中場米爾克駁斥了那些關於他要離開切爾西的傳聞，他表示自己會留下
為一線隊位置和新合同而戰。


據報導有多家中國俱樂部有意引進這名尼日利亞國腳，但米克爾本人表示新賽季
他還會留在斯坦福橋。


米克爾告訴《倫敦晚旗報》：“我想要幫助球隊爭奪每一分、每場勝利和獎盃，
我也想幫助球隊盡早鎖定下賽季的歐冠資格。過去10年我都在同一個地方訓練，用同
一個更衣室。這是家了不起的俱樂部，擁有一位了不起的老闆，他們對我就像家人一
樣。這是我想要成為其中一部分的地方。”


米克爾是目前切爾西陣容中效力年限最長的球員之一，過去10年他為藍軍出場超
過240次。但他與球隊的合同如今只剩下最後12個月，他希望在新賽季向主帥孔蒂證
明自己的價值。


他說道：“我的合同還剩下最後一年，讓我們看看到時會發生什麼事。如果我本
賽季的表現足夠出色，我相信這能幫助我贏得一份新合同。每場比賽我都會付出120%
的努力，無論球場內外，我都會全力以赴。”


“If Chelsea decide they want to talk, then we will talk. If I have to
move on, I'm sure there will be plenty of clubs out there where I can
continue my football career.


“It will be difficult to leave but these things happen. You have to move
on one day. My happy memories of Chelsea will never go away.”
