Arsene Wenger should ditch his over-30s policy.
教授應該摒棄『超過三十』政策。

The Arsenal manager refuses to give any player in his third decade a contract
longer than one year. That has applied to Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires and
Jens Lehmann. It recently saw off William Gallas as he wanted two years.
教授 拒絕給任何三十歲以上的球員超過一年的合同。過去就發生在 Dennis Bergkamp、
Robert Pires 以及 Jens Lehmann。最近還送走要求兩年合同的 William Gallas。

But why then give Tomas Rosicky, a 29-year-old injury-prone player, a five
year deal last season? It makes no sense.

Wenger's unwritten rule should not nevertheless be so rigid that Arsenal
stand to lose not just the Frenchman, but also possibly Sol Campbell as well,
who has been offered a two year deal by Celtic.

be about greed, but rather wanting to play for as long as possible.
What'smore, would Sol want another summer like this one of being kept
waiting? No.

Arsenal should be more flexible on older players - just as they were pioneers
on foreign players, completely disregarding their nationality or passport.
That was rightly applauded - but now it's Wenger who must move with the times.
