Webber races to the top of Aussie sport's rich list earning a cool $13.4
million.

Formula One ace Mark Webber has topped a list of Australia's mega-rich sports
stars.

The champion Red Bull driver raked in $13.4 million in what was a stellar
year on the international circuit.

The 34-year-old edged out Victorian NBA basketballer Andrew Bogut in second
place on the BRW Top 50 Australian Sports Earners.

Bogut netted $12.6 million under his contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Motorsport stars Chad Reed ($7.5 million) and Casey Stoner ($6.8 million)
came in third and fourth.

Tennis ace Samantha Stosur was the only woman to make this year's list,
placed 15th with $2.9 million.

A world title for Victorian snooker champion Neil Robertson saw him debut at
47th position with $1.1 million.

BRW editor-in-chief Sean Aylmer said sport remained the biggest industry when
it came to making big money.

"Essentially this shows you have to go offshore to make a lot of money,"
Aylmer said.

"The sport guys are definitely earning more, but the entertainers aren't far
behind as the economy recovers from the global downturn."

He said golf and soccer remained the biggest money- spinners but said it
wouldn't be long before AFL's elite entered the fray.

Carlton forward Chris Judd had previously been included in the rundown.

"A million dollars doesn't make the cut this year," Aylmer said.

He predicted Gold Coast Sun footballer Gary Ablett would be likely to make
the list next year.

The creators of the Walking with Dinosaurs production company, Global
Creatures, occupied top spot on the list of richest entertainers. The live
show has earned $140 million, with $350 million in ticket sales.

AC/DC dropped from first place despite earning $26 million more than last
year.

Children's entertainers The Wiggles took third spot with $33.5 million.
