The Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard Demetrius Jackson to fill the final
roster spot for training camp.

The Lakers announced on Tuesday that they’ll include Jackson — the 45th
overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft — on their 20-man training camp roster.

The 6-foot-1 Jackson has played in only 26 games in his NBA career. He has
suited up for the Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics.
In three years in the league, he has averaged just 1.8 points per contest.

In six games with the Sixers last season, the Notre Dame alum averaged 3.7
points in 6.5 minutes of play. He also had a stint with the Sixers’ G League

points and 7.4 assists per game.

Jackson inked an Exhibit 10 contract. By definition, an Exhibit 10 contract
is a one-year, minimum-salary contract that can be converted into a two-way
deal but does not count against a team’s salary cap.

Jackson can earn a bonus of $5,000 to $50,000 if he is waived, signs with the
