everybody, for your support. For me to receive this trophy here from Rod Laver

主播：So it's the first time in Australian Open history that a Spanish player

has won the title. What a worthy champion, a great, great champion. The emo-

tion of it all has completely and utterly taken over Roger Federer. And Rafael

Nadal can now rub shoulders with the greats. He has now won on three surfaces,

grass, in clay he is the undisputed king, and now the hard court. Only the US

Open remains for Nadal to conquer. But Rafael Nadal, at twenty-two years of

age, is the first Spaniard to win the Australian Open, and Roger Federer will

have to try again to match Pete Sampras' 14. But now, the matador of Melbourne

is Rafael Nadal.
