Sanguine Grant says supporters valued his work

Avram Grant talked at length yesterday for the first time since his
sacking as Chelsea manager, saying that he did not bear a grudge against
the club and dismissing rumours linking him with Manchester City as
conjecture.

昨天是格蘭特下課後第一次談話，順便否認了跟曼城的傳聞。


"It's speculation," he said. "I can't say anything at the moment. If there
will be something we'll talk; at the moment nothing is happening."

"那只是謠傳而已，現在我不能說什麼，如果有進展的話我會說的。"


The Israeli agent Pini Zahavi is believed to be trying to find Grant a new
job.

薩哈維要開始幫他找工作了。


Grant, speaking before lecturing fellow Israeli coaches here at a Uefa Pro
Licence coaching course, in which he is also participating, said he had
good memories of Chelsea despite being let go after losing the European
Cup final on penalties.

恐龍目前還在上證照課，他說他對卻爾西只有好的回憶，儘管輸了歐冠決賽。


"I look back on this eight months and see good things," he said. "Roman
gave me the opportunity and what I had to say to him was that I love the
club and now each of us goes his own way. It was a great time for me, I
enjoyed very much to be at Chelsea.

"回顧過去這八個月，我只看到積極的一面，羅曼給了我這個機會，現在我只想說我
愛這家俱樂部，現在我們分道揚鑣了，但仍然是個很好的經歷。"


"I breathed the club for 24 hours a day during the time I was in charge.
More than this, I enjoyed the development of the club and towards the end
the fans were great too. I wish them luck .

"It was a wonderful chapter in my life; I enjoyed it. It was a unique
professional experience and it was good to end it with 40,000 fans
cheering and appreciating my work. I understand the initial hesitancy over
my appointment but I am happy that we ended up in this way. I really like
Chelsea now. I really want them to succeed."

"這是我生命中美好的一章，我很享受，這是一段特殊的職業經歷，能在四萬球迷的
感激中結束，真是再好不過了，我知道自己一開始的處境，但能以這樣的方式結束，

Grant said the compensation he will get is well short of the reported
figure of ￡3.5m-￡7m and added that he had not hired a lawyer to
negotiate his severance terms.

恐龍說他的賠償金少於媒體報導的350萬~700萬，也否認了他會雇用律師來討錢。


"There are no problems with Chelsea. If I need to I will talk to them
directly, not through lawyers."

"我跟卻爾西沒什麼問題，如果我有什麼需要我會直接跟他們說的，用不著律師。"


Grant confirmed he rejected an offer to return to his old job as Chelsea's
director of football.

"I understand the offer and why it was made but I thought that from my
point of view it was not the correct move. What I discussed in private
will stay private but let's say that I saw that it was not a good move for
me at this stage."

會說出來，我只能說足球總監目前並不適合我。"
