If Roger Clemens drops the appeal of his five-game suspension, the Yankees
will need a starter Monday against the Orioles if they don't plug Chien-Ming
Wang in the possible opening. While Wang would be working on a normal four
days' rest, Joe Torre and Ron Guidry have often discussed giving their ace
an extra day of rest, which yesterday's off day would provide. However,
Wang lasted 2 2/3 innings Wednesday and threw just 59 pitches.

如果火箭人申訴失敗，也不讓王建民上時，洋基星期一將需要一個先發投手對金鶯隊。
王建民若上場將是在正常的投一休四的狀況下，但拖瑞和古德瑞經常討論到讓他們的
王牌能有多一天的休息機會，而昨天的休息日正好提供這樣的機會。但，王上一場
星期三的先發僅僅投了2又三分之二局，僅用了59球。


Regardless of when Wang pitches - his next scheduled start is Tuesday -
the Yankees will need a pitcher in the event Clemens is benched. They
could haul Jeff Karstens out of the bullpen or promote Ian Kennedy from
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Kennedy, the Yankees' top pick in 2006,
started Wednesday night and would be in turn to work again Monday.
It's not likely the Yankees, who would have to lop somebody off the 40-man
roster, would do that to give Kennedy one start.

不管王那一天投-他預定的下一場先發是星期二，這樣洋基將需要一個先發投手，假設
火箭人不能先發。他們可能讓Jeff Karstens轉任先發，或是把 Ian Kennedy從小聯盟
升上來。Kennedy，洋基2006年選秀選到的，星期三先發，而星期一將再次上場。
但這似乎不可能，因為如果讓Kennedy先發，這樣洋基必須把一個人從四十人名單中拿掉。

Clemens will likely appeal the suspension until after his next start,
which is scheduled for Monday against Baltimore at Yankee Stadium. Should
Clemens drop the appeal after that game, his next start would be pushed back
an extra day, movng him to Sunday against Detroit. Jeff Karstens or
Ian Kennedy could start in Clemens' place if that were to occur.

火箭人應該是會申訴的，直到他星期一的先發-他將預計在洋基球場先發對金鶯隊-過後，
(這應該是指提出申訴後，討論過程中不處份）。火箭人若在賽後得知申訴失敗，
那他下一場將會被往後推一場，是在星期天對老虎隊。火箭人如果真的申訴失敗，
那Jeff Karstens或者Ian Kennedy將會在那一場(星期天)先發。

其他都是說火箭人會申訴，不影響他星期一的先發，然後再看後續決定...

New York Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens has been suspended for five games
and fined an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing a pitch at
Alex Rios of the Toronto Blue Jays in the bottom of the seventh inning
of the game on Tuesday, August 7th at the Rogers Centre in Toronto after
warnings had been issued to both Clubs earlier in the game. Bob Watson,
Vice President of On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the
announcement.

紐約洋基隊投手克萊門斯因在8/7對藍鳥時，在裁判已對兩隊提出警告後，於第七局下半
時故意對Alex Rios投觸身球而被禁賽五場及罰鍰。以上是由大聯盟場上管理部門的
主管Bob Watson所宣布。

Pending appeal, the suspension of Clemens is scheduled to begin on Friday,
August 10th, when New York plays at Cleveland. If appealed, the suspension
will be held in abeyance until the process is complete.
若未申訴，克萊門斯的禁賽時間將於八月十日星期五洋基與印地安之戰開始，
但若提出申訴，則禁賽處份將被暫時擱置，直到申訴結果出爐後，再做處置。
