Chinese Taipei National Team Veteran Tseng Wen-Ting Joins the Fubon Braves

Former Chinese Taipei national team big man Tseng Wen-Ting is also set to
join the Fubon Braves in the upcoming season of the ASEAN Basketball League
(ABL).

前中華隊內線球員曾文鼎即將加入富邦勇士征戰新的ABL賽季。


According to a source close to the situation, Tseng has joined the Chinese
Taipei’s defending Super Basketball League (SBL) champion Fubon Braves in
their preseason build-up as they are set to make their league debut.

根據可靠消息，曾文鼎已經加入將在ABL初登場的上季SBL冠軍隊富邦勇士的季前準備。


After successfully leading the Yulon Luxgen Dinos to three consecutive SBL
titles between 2004-06, Tseng made a jump to the Chinese Basketball
Association (CBA) in 2011. He starred for the Shanghai Sharks for seven
seasons, before suiting up for the Sichuan Blue Whales during the past year.

在2004-2006年曾成功帶領裕隆納智捷恐龍完成SBL三連霸，之後曾文鼎在2011年投身CBA。
在上海大鯊魚待了七個球季後，上季轉投四川藍鯨。


The 6-foot-8 forward is popular among Asian fans for his many international
competitions with the Chinese Taipei team, reaching the peak of their success
when they defeated the hosts Philippines to advance to the semifinals of the
2013 FIBA Asia Championships.

這位6呎8吋的前鋒在國際賽中華隊的表現廣為亞洲球迷所知，在2013年的亞錦賽準決賽擊
敗地主菲律賓晉級準決賽更達到巔峰。


Tseng served the national team in international competition for more than a
decade since making his FIBA Asia debut in 2001, and is regarded as one of
the best players from Taiwan.

曾文鼎效力國家隊超過十年，亞洲賽場初亮相在2001年，也被視為台灣最好的球員之一。


Chinese Taipei’s latest champion club continues to build a solid local
roster after bringing in Lin Chih Chieh while also successfully retaining key
local players Joe Lin and Venti Hung, solidifying their status as a
legitimate playoff contender even before playing their first ABL game.

台灣最新一季的冠軍隊持續補充本土球員戰力，除了補進林志傑外，也成功續簽關鍵本土
球員林書緯及洪志善，甚至在第一場ABL出賽以前就展現了他們季後賽競爭者的地位。


Similar to Lin, Tseng was widely expected to attempt to make a move back home
after playing eight seasons in China. Before the Braves officially made the
transfer to the ABL, it was first rumored that he could potentially be
joining the Formosa Dreamers.

與林志傑相似，在中國征戰八個賽季後，曾文鼎也被認為會回歸家鄉。在富邦勇士正式轉
戰ABL前，先前也有傳聞他可能加盟寶島夢想家。


The Fubon Braves are set to open their maiden ABL campaign on November 16 at
home against the Macau Black Bears.
