Tim Henman, Andre Agassi, Kim Clijsters and Steffi Graf to mark Wimbledon
roof opening


Tim Henman and Kim Clijsters will face Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi in an
exhibition event to celebrate the completion of Wimbledon's Centre Court
roof.

對上Steffi Graf與Andre Agassi


The match, which will take place on May 17, will feature a men's singles, a
ladies' singles and a mixed doubles match.

比賽將會在5月17日舉行。會有男單，女單和混雙的比賽


Ian Ritchie, the chief Executive of the All England Club, said: "We set out
to make Wimbledon the world's premier tennis event.

"The new retractable Centre Court roof, and air management system, is another
important part of The Championships' progression and will guarantee the play
that today's audiences expect.

可縮式的中央球場屋頂和空調系統也是賽程的重要一環，
而且能保證讓觀眾看到想要的比賽


"With players of the calibre of Agassi, Graf, Clijsters and Henman this test
event promises to be hugely entertaining."

Graf, the seven-time Wimbledon champion, added: "There is no tennis venue
more special to me than Centre Court at Wimbledon. It just doesn't get any
better.

"I couldn't be more honoured to play there again with my husband Andre, and
tennis greats Kim and Tim. It will mean so much to return to Wimbledon and
see so many familiar places, relive so many wonderful memories."

七屆溫布頓冠軍Graf說；對我來說，沒有比溫布頓中央球場更特別的網球場地。
可以和我的丈夫Andre以及兩位網球明星Kim和Tim再次在那裡比賽，讓我感到很光榮。


Henman said: "Wimbledon's Centre Court was always a special place for me and
it's just great to have the chance to play there again with the likes of
Andre, Steffi and Kim.

"I think it will be a really fun day for everyone and the new roof is going
to make it a fascinating experience."

Henman說；中央球場對我來說一直是個特殊的地方。
能有這個機會與Andre,Steffi和Kim比賽真的很棒

Clijsters added: "I am very honoured. I faced Steffi Graf 10 years ago, it
was my first and only match against her. And what a match: I was so nervous
to play with my idol but the game was delayed two days because of the rain.
This kind of mishap will not happen to us any more."

Clijsters補充；我感到非常光榮。我曾在十年前對上Steffi Graf，
那是我第一場也是唯一一場與她的比賽。
當時我很緊張，因為要和我的偶像對打，但是那場比賽卻因為下雨延誤了兩天。
而那樣的災難現在不會再發生了。

Clijsters has been training regularly with her former sparring partner Wim
Fissette and physical coach Sam Verslegers to prepare for the Wimbledon
event.

Clijsters最近有在和她的前陪練和體能教練一起為這個溫布敦活動做準備
