PAPPOE IN COLCHESTER LOAN MOVE

Daniel Pappoe has today (Tuesday) joined Colchester United on loan until
12 January.


The Ghanaian central-defender has been a part of the Chelsea Academy since
the age of 12, and makes his first loan move away from the club.


Pappoe was a key member of the 2010 FA Youth Cup-winning side, although he
missed the final against Aston Villa due to injury.


Last season, he played in both the semi-finals and final of the NextGen
Series in Italy. He also skippered Dermot Drummy's Under-21 side for the
final five league games of the campaign.


He follows in the footsteps of Chelsea team-mates Sam Walker and Billy
Clifford, who both spent the second half of last season on loan at the
League One club.
