MICHAEL BALLACK Injured star to visit German team
The injured German captain Michael Ballack will pay a visit to the team in
South Africa this week, and will be cheering them on from the stands against
Argentina in Cape Town on Saturday. According to the media director of the
German football federation, Harald Stenger, Ballack will arrive at the German
World Cup headquarters in Velmore Grande, near Pretoria, on Thursday. The
Bayer Leverkusen player, who missed the World Cup with torn ankle ligaments,
will fly with the team to Cape Town on Friday, where the European
Championship finalists will play Argentina a day later. It is unclear exactly
how long the 33 year-old will stay in South Africa.
