我有一篇英文短文，希望能幫我解答下列問題~


I’m from a single parent family. It has been months since I went home last. My mom called yesterday and told me that she would come for a visit next week. I have planned to go home this weekend because Jenny, my sister, is going home, too. Actually I had packed up before my mom called, so I told my mom I was going home and she didn’t have to come to see me.
The secret is that Jenny and I are going to throw my mom a surprise birthday party. Jenny called me a couple of days ago and said she had bought my mom a bottle of French perfume for birthday present. For my part, I am running out of ideas about what to get as a gift for my mom’s birthday. My mom loves jogging. Perhaps a pair of running shoes could be a good idea?
