Chelsea teenager Cristian Cuevas joins Vitesse Arnhem on one-year loan

Vitesse Arnhem have announced the signing of Chelsea midfielder Cristian
Cuevas on a one-year loan deal. The 18-year-old will join up with the
Eredivisie club once he has been granted a work permit by Dutch
authorities.


Chelsea signed Cuevas last month from Rancagua in his native Chile, and he
has immediately been loaned out for the season in order for him to gain
experience of first-team football. Cuevas was a member of Chile's side at
the recent U20 World Cup in Turkey, helping them reach the quarter-final
stage.


A statement on Vitesse's website read: "Cuevas is known as a great talent.
The left-footed player can operate anywhere along the left side."
