Eden Hazard has fired an ominous warning to the rest of the Barclays
Premier League by declaring he will be 'going for the kill' and aiming for
a new goalscoring record under Jose Mourinho next season.


Chelsea's ￡32million signing from Lille delivered a blunt assessment of
his debut season in English football but claimed he could emulate the
scoring achievements of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo with a more
direct approach next time.


Despite being shortlisted for the PFA player-of-the-year award, the
attacking midfielder admitted he over-elaborated at times, as Chelsea
missed out on the title but secured a place in the Champions' League.


He was adamant there would be no more show-boating, though, as he set his
sights on a 50-plus goal return that would elevate him to the level of
Barcelona's Messi and Real Madrid's Manchester United target Ronaldo.


‘Every year, I am improving and getting better and better, but I want to
be even more effective,’ he said, ahead of Belgium's game with Serbia.
‘My dream is 50 or even 60 goals like Messi and Ronaldo. They have shown
it is possible, so maybe I can do the same.


‘I had a lot of assists last season and a few goals, but the problem is
that I tend to choose the beautiful option too often and dribble with the
ball, when a different way might cause more damage.


‘Sometimes I lack the killer instinct, but I mean to change that. I need
to shoot more, rather than look to do something that looks nice, and that
is what I will be trying to do next season.’


Hazard conceded he may be in awe of Mourinho when he reports back, but
only for a few hours.


‘He's a mystical coach, who is always being talked about,’ he said. ‘It
will be a pleasure to have a coach like him, especially as everybody says
it will be a very good thing for me.


‘Of course, on the first day, I will be a little intimidated. After all,
he's Mourinho. But after that, he will just be my coach. After all, he's a
human being with two arms and two legs.


‘Maybe there will be some transfer activity, because there are always
names, especially with Chelsea. Everybody knows (owner Roman) Abramovich
and the club. They have bought many players. You are never sure of your
place in the team.


‘You have to be 100 per cent always. Even if there are no incoming
transfers, you still have to be like that, and it keeps you on your toes.’

哈扎德對自己加盟切爾西的首個賽季感到滿意，而且希望在下賽季可以更上層樓。


比利時人來到英超後馬上交出成績，他在處子秀首六分鐘裡就取得了兩次助攻，
很快成為了主教練迪馬特奧和貝尼特斯的要員，跟馬塔和奧斯卡組成前鋒托雷斯或登
巴˙巴背後的“三劍俠”。


“我的首個賽季非常好，能夠跟蘭帕德和阿什利˙科爾等偉大球員一起作賽十分
好。”22歲的他說。“首場比賽能幫助球隊進球的感覺很好，我成功幫助伊凡諾維奇
進球，後來又贏得了點球。雖然在那場以後我們的表現不太好，但最終我們在賽季末
也取得了好成績。”


“我參與了很多比賽，我因為一月的紅牌錯過了三場比賽，也因傷無緣在歐聯決
賽上場，但除此以外我一直能夠上場，我很高興能作出貢獻，我的表現也不錯，所以
總括來說這是很好的一年。”


雖然哈扎德最終無法參與歐聯決賽，但球隊在這賽季成功奪得錦標，讓他對下一
個賽季更充滿期待。


“我很快就適應過來了，我很享受美國季前賽，因為有盧卡庫和德布洛因等比利
時球員在。雖然他們其後外租了，但我那時已經適應好了，登巴˙巴一月來的時候我
還幫助他呢，因為大家都講法語，我們現在是好朋友。”


談及夏天，哈扎德表示：“夏天第一件要做的事當然就是放假輕鬆一下，讓身體
從漫長的賽季中復原過來。然後我們就要參與季前賽，我們有很多有趣的地方要去，
還要好好訓練準備新賽季。如果準備充足，我們在新賽季的重大比賽就更有信心。”


“我們有很多非常優秀的年輕球員，好像阿奇、麥凱克倫和盧卡庫等，希望他們
和其他一樣年輕但已經有更多經驗的球員，好像奧斯卡和馬塔等可以在季前賽一起比
賽。”
