(Seamus O'Connell)
共同保持的切爾西俱樂部紀錄相媲美,他們是唯二在切爾西首秀中就上演帽子戲法的
球員。

Kai Havertz reflects on his goals and discusses partnership with Tammy Abraham
24 Sep 2020
It was a wonderful Wednesday evening for Kai Havertz, who marked his third
appearance for Chelsea with three goals, so no wonder the hat-trick hero
had plenty to smile about when he spoke after our big win over Barnsley.
https://i.imgur.com/D1xzTmM.jpg
Throughout Havertz displayed the attacking instincts that Frank Lampard
has long admired, and he was rewarded with a trio of well-taken goals
against the Championship side, all cleverly aided by Tammy Abraham. The
striker was in his thoughts when he gave his reaction to a job well done.
'I am very happy to score three goals,' said the German. 'It means a lot.
It's my beginning at the club and I want to score more goals, more goals.
This is my goal! I hope to continue like this.
'Tammy is a very, very good striker. Our partnership on the pitch was very
good. I am very thankful for the assists. It was our first game together,
but I like him very much as a striker, and it was very good to play with
him. He can hold the ball up, he is very fast and I hope we continue like
that.'
It was Abraham who put us ahead and Havertz that doubled the lead before a
goal-laden second half made the final scoreline so emphatic, although
things might have been different against the Tykes had Willy Caballero not
made a number of impressive saves.
'When you are Chelsea and you play against lower teams everybody says you
have to win, but it's not that easy,' noted Havertz, who played just over
an hour. 'They can run, they can shoot, and it was difficult for us, but
we did very well and are very happy to get through to next round.
'In the first half they had many chances and we were lucky they didn't
score, but offensively we played very well. Not everyone is fit and we can
do better, but for the third game it's already getting better and I hope
we can continue on Saturday.'

Abraham on linking up with Havertz and his thirst for winning silverware
25 Sep 2020
While Kai Havertz may have taken centre stage this week following his
hat-trick against Barnsley, special praise should also go to Tammy Abraham
for the creative role he had in our midweek Carabao Cup win.
https://i.imgur.com/GiL89tl.jpg
It took Abraham just 20 minutes to break the deadlock against the Tykes on
Wednesday evening, netting his first goal of the season with a fine finish
past another fellow Chelsea Academy graduate in Brad Collins.
Seeing Abraham score in a Chelsea shirt was something we got very familiar
with last season, but his goal was not the only big contribution from the
striker.
Ten minutes later, his dummy through the legs from a Mason Mount pass for
Havertz to score was sublime, and was followed up in the second half with
another excellent assist for the German.
The link-up play was executed perfectly and Abraham admitted that this was
a routine they had worked on in training during the week.
'We were working on it quite a lot,' explained Tammy. 'I would go short
towards the ball and Kai would go in behind me, so I knew where he was. I
had a quick look and he was there waiting, so it was great to see it work
out so well.'

Havertz and Abraham were both on the scoresheet
Abraham ended last season as our top goal scorer and while he hopes to
find the net regularly again this term, the striker says he is just as
happy creating chances for his team-mates too.
'You know sometimes it's good to assist other people. We've not had a lot
of time to work together but as you can see, what we tried was paying off
and hopefully it can continue like this for us.'
The summer signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech have certainly added
strong competition to positions in the final third, and along with
Christian Pulisic closing in on a return to full fitness, our number nine
is relishing the competitive spirit in the attacking areas and hopes the
Blues can end this season with silverware.
'We all want good competition and good players,' Abraham said, 'You need
to have that at Chelsea, because we want to be competitive in every
competition at the end of the day it's time to start winning trophies
again.'

Hoddle: 'Matthew will be sitting up there looking down now and
loving Chelsea being winners. He'll just love Chelsea winning.'
