Rosicky in line to make comeback for Reserves in North London derby

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky could finally make his long-awaited
comeback for Arsenal Reserves against Tottenham at Underhill next week.
Rosicky has been sidelined since January 2008 with a succession of injuries,
although he is now nearing the final stages of his comeback after
his initial tendon injury receded.

He currently has a groin problem but it is not thought to be serious and,
in a recent interview with Arsenal TV Online, he revealed that he is
'boling inside’ to play again.

Tomas was initially set to make his comeback against Chelsea last week
but suffered a setback, although he still maintains that he hopes to make
an impact in the first-team before the end of the season.

The Reserves host North London rivals Spurs at Underhill a week on
Thursday and the two sides will do battle again in the reverse fixture
the following Tuesday.
Toma? is expected to feature in at least one of these games and,
if he doesn’t, then a behind closed-doors friendly will be arranged
at the training ground instead.

Several first-team players have featured for Neil Banfield’s reserve
side this season. Most notably, Croatian striker Eduardo who made his
comeback for the second-string after nine months out. Mikael Silvestre,
Aaron Ramsey and Mikael Silvestre, as well as younger first-teamers
such as Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Amaury Bischoff and Vito Mannone
have all featured at some point during this campaign.

Speaking on his personal website, Tomas also praised the English Reserve
league set-up, saying
Arsene Wenger will determine when I play a match for the reserves.
In England, the reserves of professional clubs have their own competition,
which attracts a lot of spectators who create a pretty good atmosphere.
