Having to go up against 6'10" Oklahoma City Thunder forward Mitch McGary,
6'1" Dallas Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo decided to concede the jump
ball and try to intercept the tip.

It worked.


在昨天與雷霆隊的比賽, Rondo獲得了一次跳球機會, 不過他的對手卻是6'10"的

Mitch McGary. 而Rondo本人則只有6'1" ( 兩人相差二十幾公分 ). Rondo知道他處

於絕對劣勢, 於是他直接放棄了跳球的打算.


Rondo guessed that McGary would try to tip the ball to Dion Waiters, so
instead of going for the jump ball, Rondo decided to guard Waiters. That
crafty move worked to perfection and set up a transition dunk.


取而代之的是, 他直接去搶被撥下來的球! 而他成功了. Rondo預測McGary會從站

位的方向將球撥給Dion Waiters, 所以Rondo直接去防守Waiters, 而他也成功抄到球,

還因此策動了一次快攻灌籃, 兩分入袋.


As it turns out, this play may have been illegal. Rule No. 6, Section VII,
Article E of the NBA rulebook states that "neither jumper may catch the
tossed or tapped ball until it touches one of the eight non-jumpers, the
floor the basket or the backboard."


但這球其實是違例的, 根據NBA的規則, 跳球雙方必須等到被撥到的球" 碰觸 "到

非跳球球員, 地板, 籃框, 或是籃板, 才能再去碰球.


A few years ago, Nate Robinson tried a similar play but wasn' called for a
violation.


有趣的是以前Nate Robinson也用過這招, 不過裁判也沒吹.
