Not unexpectedly, another one of Chelsea's three Croatian young prospects
has gone back out on loan. With the UK not relaxing work permit rules for
Croatian nationals until next summer, this was always going to be the case
of Mario Pasalic (already at Elche in Spain), Matej Dela, and Stipe
Perica. While Dela has yet to find a home (after getting to tour Europe
with the Chelsea first-team), Perica has returned to his loan team from
last season.


Perica made 25 league appearances (21 of those off the bench) and scored 6
goals (tied for second most on the team) as NAC Breda narrowly avoided the
drop in the Eredivisie. Hopefully he'll manage to carve out something more
than just a super sub role this season.


Perica becomes the second player to move to NAC Breda from Chelsea this
summer, joining permanent transfer Isak Ssewankambo. The team also signed
promising forward Kingsley Boateng on a free transfer from AC Milan, as
leading scorer Rydell Poepon returned to his parent club Valenciennes.
Basically, there should be plenty of opportunities for 19-year-old Perica,
a fixture in the Croatia U21 national football team, to continue his
development.

Stipe Perica has today joined NAC Breda on loan until the end of the
season.


The 19-year-old forward returns to the Eredivisie club where he spent the
2013/14 campaign.


The Croatian signed for Chelsea in August 2013.
