In the Premier League, Conor Gallagher's first-time cross was headed past
David De Gea by Mbaye Diagne to give West Brom an early lead over Man
United. Bruno Fernandes equalised but the Baggies earned a decent point,
and could have even won it through Diagne. Gallagher has his first Premier
League assist to add to the two goals he scored earlier in the season.

Fulham produced a standout showing at Everton on Sunday night with Ruben
Loftus-Cheek completing the game and the Cottagers leaving Goodison Park
with three points after Josh Maja's debut double.


Fulham have big league fixtures coming up against Burnley and Sheffield
United this week in their fight for survival.

Ross Barkley started for Aston Villa as they were fortunate to leave
Brighton with a goalless draw, while last midweek Ethan Ampadu helped
Sheffield United to a 1-0 FA Cup win against Bristol City. The Blades are
at West Ham before our game against Newcastle tonight.


Crystal Palace suffered two defeats in the past week. Michy Batshuayi
started in the 3-0 loss to Burnley at the weekend having come off the
bench in their 2-0 reverse at Leeds last Monday.


The inclement weather affected plenty of action in the EFL although there
were two games for Accrington Stanley and Nathan Baxter. They lost 1-0 at
home to Plymouth before netting a last-minute leveller to draw 2-2 with
league leaders Lincoln on Sunday. Jon Russell was a late sub in that one.


Bristol Rovers sacked manager Paul Tisdale after a 2-0 home loss to Oxford
United in which Luke McCormick played the full game. They are outside the
League One relegation zone on goal difference.


There was plenty of drama in the Portuguese Cup semi-final first leg
meeting between Braga and Porto, for whom Malang Sarr featured throughout
at left-back. Porto led 1-0 going into injury time, when they had two
players sent off and then conceded an equaliser in the 102nd minute.


Porto then came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Boavista in the
league, Sarr again playing the full game.


There were defeats on the continent for Kenedy and Granada, beaten 2-1 at
home by Atletico Madrid, and Armando Broja and Vitesse Arnhem, who lost
2-0 to Twente.


Fikayo Tomori was another on the losing side this weekend as AC Milan were
surprisingly beaten 2-0 at Spezia. He came off the bench shortly before
the second goal, with Inter leapfrogging their city rivals into first.


It was a better outcome in Serie A for Tiemoue Bakayoko, who helped Napoli
earn a 1-0 home victory over Juventus, and Davide Zappacosta, whose Genoa
side drew 0-0 at Torino. They are now six unbeaten.

Trevoh Chalobah added two more appearances for Lorient to his name. The
first was in a 2-1 Coupe de France victory over Paris, and the second as a
sub as Lorient drew 2-2 at Monaco. The point moves them out of the
relegation zone, although it could have been even better had the
Principality side not equalised in the third minute of added time.


ADO Den Haag also scored late to earn a 2-2 draw, with Juan Castillo not
long on the pitch as they pegged PSV Eindhoven back.


In a meeting of Chelsea loanees in Belgium, Cercle Bruges and Anderlecht
played out a goalless draw with Matt Miazga keeping Ike Ugbo sufficiently
quiet.


There was no such shortage of goals in Serbia as Cukaricki and Vojvodina
drew 3-3, Danilo Pantic involved off the bench.
