Bobby Bones, Andy Roddick team up for new radio show

Two Austin favorites are teaming up for a new nationally syndicated radio
show.
Starting Jan. 7, KISS-FM morning host Bobby Bones and tennis ace Andy Roddick
will talk all things entertainment, pop culture and sports each Saturday from
noon to 3 p.m. on Fox Sports Radio.
“I can’t wait to get paid to talk about sports, especially since Andy and I
have been doing it for free for years,” Bones said. “We’re pretty excited
to get to use real microphones — and be heard by a real audience — on Fox
Sports Radio.”
Fox promises the show, which will originate here in Austin, will “blow the
minds of the sports talk radio audience.”
“Hosting a radio program is something I’ve always wanted to do, and to have
this opportunity with my close friend Bobby is truly amazing,” Roddick said.
“We can’t wait to get started.”
The show has already been picked up in several major cities coast to coast,
including Houston, Los Angeles and San Antonio. Here in Central Texas, it
will air on Clear Channel-owned AM 1300 the Zone.
