Rip Curl Presents the West Sumbawa Pro

In June 2009 the Indonesian Surfing Championtour will return to West Sumbawa
for yet another 6star prime rated Surfing Event. After the event had been
held in West Sumbawa for the first time in 2008, the world class waves and
the outstanding local support made it an easy descision to make the location
a permanent event on the Indonesian Tour Calendar.

From June 20th to 30th Indonesias best surfers will post up in the little
explored area of West Sumbawa to battle it out for a total of 64 million
Rupiah in prize money and 3500 points towards the Indonesian Surfing
Championship tour. The event will be run in a mobile format in order to be
able to take full advantage of the great range of waves in the area.
