It's time once again to hand out the annual Popcorn Tennis Awards.
Now in our fifth year (I know, we can't beleieve it either) we still don't
have trophies, an awards night or even a bad MC with dodgy jokes. Slack.
So, without any further ado, let's hand out some awards.

又到了一年一度頒發"爆米花網球大賞"的時間了
今年是我們的第五年 (我也不敢相信我們來到了第五年) 但我們仍然沒有獎盃、
頒獎典禮也沒有一個說著白爛笑話的主持人。慘。好戲不再拖棚，我們來頒些獎吧

The Andre Agassi award for the best return

“Isn’t she back in Poland already?” Sharapova stated bluntly when told
that Agnieszka Radwanska had said she found the Russian’s grunting
excessive.

The Marat Safin Award for racquet origami

This can only go to one person – Marcos Baghdatis who sensationally
destroyed four racquets in one sitting. Maybe he decided mid-match that he’d
overpacked and wanted to ditch a little excess baggage?

We have to give a mention to girls’ singles finalist Yulia Putintseva who
threw her racquet in the ring, literally, with a last-gasp attempt after
losing the girls’ singles final. The 17-year-old managed to mangle her
racquet between losing the last point and making her way back to her chair.

很明顯的，只有一個人有資格得獎: Marcos Baghdatis，他激動的在一次休息時間中
砸爛了四支球拍。也許他比賽到一半，認為他帶太多東西，並決定丟下一些多餘的行李?

我們必須提一下青少女單亞軍Yulia Putintseva，她在掙扎但輸掉青少女單決賽後
真的把她的球拍弄成一個圈

她在輸掉最後一分後，走回她的座位前，把她的拍子折了

The curse toast

This award has to go to boys’ champion Luke Saville for dropping the s-bomb
in his acceptance speech.

罵髒話的

這個獎一定要給青少年男單冠軍Luke Saville，他在領獎的感言中丟下了S-bomb (s***)

The Nikolay Davydenko award for the best work in the press room

David Bowie sang about making them, but Jarmila Gajdosova will not be
introducing any changes to her game anytime soon based on the following:

"My game is not based on making balls. It's plain and simple. I made 40 UEs,
made 24 winners, made seven aces, I'm even either way... So doesn't matter
what I'm going to do either way. Everybody is going to concentrate on the UEs
... I got 24 in the world for a reason. I didn't get there by making balls."

David Bowle把它們唱出來，但Jarmila Gajdosova完全不會改變她的打法，根據以下的

The ‘coodabeen’ award

Sadly this one has to go to 2011 finalist Li Na who was unable to convert any
of the four consecutive match points she had in her fourth-round match with
Kim Clijsters. The Belgian mounted an incredible comeback to overrun Li in
the third set.

很遺憾的，這獎要頒給2011亞軍李娜，她沒能拿下在第四輪跟Clister比賽的
連續四個賽末點，Clijsters成功的在第三盤逆轉了比賽。

The M*A*S*H award for longevity

This one goes to Esther Vergeer. The wheelchair tennis superstar racked up
her 444th consecutive win when she won her fifth Australian Open title.
Legend status confirmed.

Best team player

Come on down Michelle Bryan, wife of Bob Bryan. En route to the final, Bob
revealed that his heavily pregnant wife was doing her bit to make sure that
he could be a part of the birth of their first child: “She's on bedrest now.
She's not getting out of bed. We're down to the finish line. It's crunch
time, yeah. She turned it [the TV] off in the third set because she was
starting to feel a couple small contractions. I've been telling her, ‘Don't
watch the matches; it will get your heart rate going and you might spit that
baby out’.”

最佳隊友獎

頒給了Michelle Bryan，Bob Bryan的太太。在晉級決賽的途中，Bob說他懷孕已久的
老婆正在盡她的努力，確保他在他第一個小孩出生時不缺席。
"她在床上休息，她不能下床，小孩快生了。她在第三盤時把電視關了，因為她感到
她在收縮，我一直跟她說，不要看比賽，那會讓你心跳加速，你搞不好就這樣
