DALLAS — David Ortiz was named the winner of the Edgar Martinez Outstanding
DH Award for 2011. It was the sixth time he has won the award, surpassing
Martinez for the most times since it was started in 1973.

Ortiz hit .309 with 40 doubles, 29 home runs and 96 RBIs last season.
