LOS ANGELES - At least one of the Big Three showed up, anyway.
With Paul Pierce [stats] and Kevin Garnett misfiring on 27 of their 35 shots,
it was up to Ray Allen to carry the load and the veteran delivered.

have the strength to play the defense and to score was big.”

Take Allen’s 8-for-13 performance out of the equation and the Celtics shot
just 30 percent as a team. Allen made 5-of-7 3-pointers and provided the
answer virtually every time the Lakers looked like they were going to pull
away.

- sealed the game.
