NBA金州勇士隊老闆Joe Lacob在周三晚上「雅虎脫口秀」受訪指出他想要買奧克蘭運動家
隊。

當被問到有關奧克蘭運動家隊的題目時，Lacob並無閃躲模糊其詞，直接回應主題。
When asked about the A’s, Lacob spoke directly on the topic.

「嗯，他們(現有綠帽經營團隊)必須要有意願出售，其他人才有可能進場，而我不確定他
們是否有意願。我們有意願購買相信大家都知道，我當綠帽球迷已經很久了，我的經營團
隊的很多人也都有志一同。」
“Well, they have to want to sell for anyone to buy, and I don’t know that
they do,” he said. “We would have interest, I think that’s clearly been
out in the public. I’ve been an A’s fan for a long time. A lot of people in
my ownership group, our ownership group, feel the same way.”

Lacob說對了一件事，除非現有經營團隊願意出售綠帽，否則談論這個爭論不休的議題是
沒有意義的。而現有運動家隊老闆Lew Wolff一再重申他絕對不會出售奧克蘭運動家隊。
He’s right about one thing. It’s all a moot point until A’s ownership
expresses a willingness to sell their franchise, and managing partner Lew
Wolff repeatedly has said the team isn’t for sale.

奧克蘭運動家隊近年來一直希望能夠打造個全新的球場，原先希望在費利蒙市，而後希望
能在聖荷西市，無奈兩邊都落空。目前綠帽只好將重心轉回與美式足球隊奧克蘭突擊者隊
共用的奧克蘭競技場，奧克蘭突擊者隊也希望能夠建造全心的美式足球場。因為阿拉米達
市現任市長希望能夠阻止兩支奧克蘭球隊出走，所以現在兩支球隊的打造心球場的計畫都
沒有實際的作為。
The A’s have been trying for years to build a new ballpark, first in
Fremont, and then in San Jose on a plan that has stalled. Now they’re
focusing their efforts on the current Coliseum site, where the Raiders also
have shown interest in building a new venue. No concrete plans have developed
for either team in Oakland, as city and Alameda County leaders search for a
way to keep both teams.

大聯盟主席Rob Manfred受訪指出他相信運動家隊是屬於奧克蘭的，周一並重申他會盡其
所能協助運動家隊在奧克蘭發展。
Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred has said he believes the A’s
belong in Oakland and reiterated Monday that he will do all he can to support
the team’s efforts to build there.

Lacob購買綠帽的意願在過去也曾受到廣大球迷的期待。
Lacob’s interest in the A’s has generated attention in the past.

「我相信我們會是個很好的經營團隊，但他們還是得有意願出售。他們經營得有聲有色，

且洩氣。」
“I think we’d do a great job, but they’d have to want to sell,” he said.
“In many ways they’ve done a very good job, certainly with the team on the
field. Not getting a stadium has been a frustration, I’m sure, for everyone.
