Former Detroit Pistons center and current WNBA New York Liberty coach Bill
Laimbeer recently went on the Dan Patrick Show to talk about his team's
upcoming season. But with the NBA Finals happening next week, the topic of
conversation drifted to Laimbeer's NBA championships and one of his old
rivals -- Michael Jordan.


前底特律活塞隊的中鋒, 也是現任WNBA紐約自由隊的教練Bill Laimbeer在

Dan Patrick Show談及球隊的下一個賽季. 由於NBA總決賽下禮拜開打, 話題的中心轉到了

Asked who he would take in his prime, LeBron James or Jordan, Laimbeer
without hesitation said LeBron.

Here is Laimbeer's response to Patrick's question:


被問到LeBron與Jordan誰會是第一的時候, Laimbeer毫不猶豫的回答LeBron.

“There's no question I would take LeBron James. He can do more. Michael
Jordan could score and make big shots and look spectacular at times with wild
flying dunks, but LeBron can get you 18 rebounds, get you 15 assists or score
50 if he wants to. The triple threat the he poses is just phenomenal, and the
size, he just physically dominates. It's impressive.”


"毫無疑問的, 我會選LeBron James. 他可以做的更多. Jordan能得分也能投關鍵球, 而他

“Look at what LeBron has in the Finals right now. Could anybody else in the
world have led this team of role players to the Finals right now? I don't
think so. Jordan could not have led this team to the Finals. LeBron came into
the league knowing how to play basketball and involve his teammates. Jordan
had to learn that, and they had to assemble some great teammates around him
in order for him to win.”


"看看LeBron現在總決賽時有什麼. 現在世界上還有人可以帶領角色球員球隊達到

Laimbeer battled against Jordan in the late '80s and early '90s so he knows
what the NBA legend is capable of doing. He does bring up some valid points
about why James is the better player but he could also just be bitter that
the Pistons were never able to defeat Jordan when he was in his prime.
