Outfielder taking in culture, chronicling journey on Twitter


TAIPEI, Taiwan -- How does a baseball fan know that Logan Morrison
is having a good time on the 2011 Taiwan All-Star Series trip?
Well, like just about everything in the fun-loving Marlins outfielder's
life, it's being documented on Twitter.

LoMo都把他的寶島遊心得記錄在他的推特上了

Here are a few of his nuggets since arriving Sunday, checking into the
team hotel in downtown Taipei City, and working out with the Major League
All-Stars at Xinzhuang Stadium on Monday afternoon in preparation for a
five-game, three-city tour against the Chinese Taipei national team that
goes from Tuesday-Sunday:

接下來是一些推特上他分享他在台灣的動向,包括住進飯店,和其他明星一起在練球等等

LoMoMarlins: "Called down 2 front desk & told them Im pretty sure theres
a monster under my bed. Theyre "sending someone right up".
I love Taiwan already!"

他住進凱悅打電話跟櫃台說"我的床底下有怪獸" 櫃檯竟然真的就派人上來看XD

Morrison has been soaking in the sights and enjoying every minute of
the experience.
"It's a great opportunity," Morrison said. "I love to see the world,
and I never thought I'd have the opportunity to play baseball in Taiwan.
I'm excited to do it, for sure."

LoMo很沉浸在觀光還有享受體驗每分每秒在台灣的感覺。
他說"這是一個很棒的機會，我很喜歡看看全世界，而且我從來沒想過可以有這個
機會在台灣打棒球，我真的很興奮！"

Morrison, who has over 72,000 Twitter followers and has already posted
plenty of photographs from his wanderings around Taipei, said he has
picked up a few followers from Taiwan since it was announced that he
would be accompanying the team."There was somebody, his name was in
Chinese writing, and he said, 'The weather's nice here and we can't
wait for you to get here,'" Morrison said.

這邊在說他是個很愛推特的人，已經貼了很多他逛台北的照片
而且自從宣布他會來台灣後，在他推特裡多了很多名字是中文的關注者

Morrison jumped at the chance to help represent his country and MLB
on this tour.The first game of the series, played at XinZhuang Stadium
in New Taipei City, will air on MLB Network on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
Games 2 and 3, played at Intercontinental Stadium in Taichung, will
air on Thursday and Friday at 9 p.m. ET; and Games 4 and 5, played at
Chengcing Lake Stadium in Kaohsiung, will air at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday
and at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Morrison is excited to participate in the series, but he said he's soon
going to be working hard to improve on what was a disappointing 2011
season marred by injuries, a much-publicized demotion to the Minor
Leagues, and a batting average of .247, although he did hit 23 homers
and drive in 72 runs in 468 at-bats.

"I think I'm just trying to recover from this last season first,"
Morrison said. "I'll be trying to stay healthy, and then going out and
getting after it as far as getting my body back in shape and getting
ready for next season. Get on base more, try to get the average up more,
and hopefully the power will still be here.

"It wasn't the best season. It wasn't the season I wanted to have as far
as the team and the personal side of it, but I'm going to continue to try
to improve on that. Just continue to get better and go from there."

Morrison said he has been taken by the enthusiasm for baseball in Taiwan.
"I think you can tell what it means to the people here when you come out
into the airport and everybody's going crazy, taking pictures, shouting
'Granderson, Granderson!' and all that stuff. It's pretty cool."
Morrison said he didn't hear anyone shouting "LoMo," however."No," he said.
"Nobody did that. I'd rather have it that way anyways."So Morrison will do
what he always does. He'll play baseball, he'll live it up when he has
free time, and he'll report back to it for everyone via Twitter --
140 characters or fewer at a time -- while enjoying a vibrant experience
in a new land.

LoMo說他已經強烈感受到台灣對棒球的熱情。
"當你出機場看到外面每個球迷都陷入瘋狂，開始照相，一邊大喊granderson的名字時
你就可以了解到棒球對台灣人的意義是什麼了，真的很酷！"

他還說他都沒聽到有人喊他的名字XDDDD

LoMo在台灣會像他往常一樣，就是活得自在，享受生活，而且有空閒時間時，
他會上推特跟大家報告的～～～

"It's a great experience here," Morrison said with a smile. "It's good
to see that baseball reaches literally every corner of the earth."

"來這裡（台灣）這真的是一個很棒的經驗"LoMo微笑說著
"很高興可以看到棒球推行到世界上的每個角落"
