Hello Everyone,
I lived a tournament full of emotions in Australia. It's great to be back
home in Monaco again spending time with Pierre-Yves, and able to rest for a
few days.
Off course, it's disappointing to have things terminate like that. I have
tendinitis of the shoulder, and for the moment, I am not really feeling
physically in top condition. I also have been suffering badly with my
stomach, the anti-inflammatory drugs undoubtedly caused a small stomach
ulcer. I had never experienced such pain in my stomach, but without these
anti-inflammatory drugs, I should've undoubtedly been forced to forfeit
earlier in the tournament because my shoulder was hurting. It was a rather
difficult week, as it was necessary to recover from time zone changes, but I
took good care of myself.
For the final evaluation, I don't have bad sentiments at the end of my
Australian tournaments, it was 95% positive. If someone had said to me before
leaving that I would have this path, I would have signed on with two hands. I
did really well, I took so much pleasure, and enjoyment playing matches. I
reached such an excellent level of tennis, it's a good omen for the rest of
the season. The episode at the end of the tournament, and the finale is
disappointing, frustrating, but it's the way of the draw. I will cherish all
the positive things.
From tomorrow, I will again hit the practice courts with tennis racquet in
hand. For Wednesday, I shall do fitness work; but very carefully. I'm not
fully recovered. I am a little weak, because the pains of my stomach affect
my general state, but I should be back to normal rather quickly. I must also
continue look after my shoulder. There is nothing alarming, but with my
health, I cannot afford not to be precautious! If everything goes well, I
should leave for Dubai in ten days.
