Justine won her first match of the season defeating Emilie Loit of France 3-6
6-2 6-2. It wasn't a simple task with Loit playing up for the local crowd in
fine style, and taking the first set. The debonoir Belgian slowly found her
way into the match after a lethargic start in the first set. Justine shared a
few words after the match about her performance. She will play in the
quarterfinals on Friday against the winner of the Golovin and Bychkova second
round match to be played later today.
First set dropped.
"This was a particular situation, it was my first match of the year, it is
never easy. During the first set, I was not sharp enough, I played too short.
I did not feel that I moved well on the court. It's never easy to return to
competition. I always have problems. In the first set, I didn't play very
well, but I was expecting it, then I found a better rhythm"
Not perfection, but aggressive forward tennis from the second set.
"I was too defensive during the first set, I didn't give myself a chance to
go towards the net. Gradually, I started to feel better, I started to be more
aggressive."
Never looking back in the third set.
"The positives to take from this match were my serves. I had 14 aces, 62% of
first balls in and 82% of points gained on first serves. I am really pleased
with that today, it allowed me to gain points easily and helped me to
victory."

information arrives. Her opponent will be Tatiana Golovin or Ekaterina
Bychkova
