Justine departed on Friday to Los Angeles for promotional, and goodwill
duties to support the WTA tour, but there was a surprise for the 2005 Roland
Garros champion as she took home the 6th Sense Player of the Year 2005 award.

The WTA Championships marked the big finale to a year long season of tennis.
It's also the last time that the event would be played in Los Angeles; the
2006 city is Madrid. Justine qualified to make the final eight, but forfeited
her berth due to injury, nonetheless she arrived in Los Angeles to support
the WTA.

On Saturday night, Justine attended a WTA gala at Spago restaurant in Beverly
Hills. It was attended by the diamond elite of women's tennis; along side the
eight in the draw at this year's WTA Championships. Billie Jean King, Tracy
Austin, and current stars of the game; Venus and Serena were also there.

Justine received a special award presented by Whirlpool; the 6th Sense Player
of the Year 2005. There was an online poll, and contest voted by tennis fans
around the globe which ran from May '04 to October '05 on the official
websites of the WTA, Eurosport, and Whirlpool. Over 43,000 people voted for
the three players they felt reflected 6th Sense intuition; which was then
narrowed down to one ultimate winner who had - heightened intelligence,
unbeatable performance, and pin point precision.

Justine returns home back to Europe on Monday, and will be caring for her
injury. She'll then go on a well deserved holiday. She will be back in
December to enter into her full training for the 2006 season, which will
feature more of her winning 6th sense ways.
