現年33歲的Juan Ignacio Chela在推特上宣布了退休消息並發表留言「經過了這麼多年
，也該是邁向人生下一個階段的時候了，我要退休了」。Chela結束了他14年的職業生涯
並留下了326勝277負的成績，12次決賽奪得6座冠軍、三座雙打冠軍，生涯最高曾到達第15
位(2004.08.09)。除此之外，這位阿根廷好手也曾分別在04及11年的法網與07年的美網3度
打進8強。而Chela生涯也曾擊敗多位明星好手，像是Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray,Lleyton
Hewitt,Andy Roddick, Marat Safin, David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych, Tommy Haas, Tim
Henman and Fernando Gonzalez。
