The Sixers have a lot of mouths to feed, starting with Joel Embiid, Ben
Simmons and Tobias Harris. As a result, Horford’s touches on offense are
down this season compared to what they were with the Boston Celtics.

Horford admits he’s going through an adjustment process in his new role, but
it doesn’t change the fact that it has been frustrating for him.

“I’m out [there] for the team and doing what I can to help us,” Horford
said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. “But offensively, I’m very limited
with the things that I can do. So I can’t control that stuff.

“So all I have to do is make sure I’m there for the team, trying to do
everything I can to help us win.”

The Sixers fell to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, losing by a final score of
115-97. Al Horford played 29 minutes and finished with just five points. He
shot only 2-of-12 from the field.

Horford signed a four-year, $109 million contract with Philly this past
summer. He entered Tuesday averaging 12.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.8
assists while shooting 46.0 percent from the floor, 34.4 percent from beyond
the arc and 69.2 percent from the free-throw line.

It remains to be seen if Horford’s comments to the media force Sixers head
coach Brett Brown to change his scheme and get the All-Star forward more
shots within the flow of the offense. Horford is a pro, so he’s not going to
be a locker room cancer despite being unhappy with his role.

The Sixers dropped to 23-13 on the season after losing to the Pacers. They
have lost three straight since defeating the Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas.
